EKU Men’s Golf to Host World Golf Village Collegiate

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s golf team continues its 2024 Spring schedule in the Sunshine State, hosting the World Golf Village Collegiate beginning on Monday.
 

The two-round stroke play tournament will feature 19-total Division I teams from across the country and will be played on the King & Bear Golf Course at the World Golf Village complex in St. Augustine, Fla.
 
Live stats are available via Golf Stat across the two rounds of competition.
 
The course will be a par 72 playing 6,992 yards on the first round and 7,023 on the second and final round.
 
EKU’s Joe Benton will lead the Colonels into the tournament having carded the lowest round for EKU this past Fall shooting a -5 (65) in the first round of the Colonel Shootout.
 
Of those competing towards EKU’s team score, Zach Watterson holds the best stroke average in the 2023-24 season with an average of 72.65 through 17 rounds in the Fall.
 
Competing individually, Isaac Meador holds the best average on the season with nine rounds completed averaging 72.22 strokes per round.
