Five goals and three assists in the last six Gameweeks have made Diogo Jota (£8.3m) a top target for managers in Fantasy Premier League.
The Liverpool star is the most-bought midfielder ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline, earning 280,000+ new owners for his Double Gameweek 25 (DGW25) against Brentford and Luton Town.
Jota is among nine players with two matches picked in a 3-4-3 formation, with Erling Haaland (£14.4m) handed the armband and Phil Foden (£8.0m) named vice-captain.
More than 700,000 managers currently have the Triple Captain chip active, with the vast majority expected to be handing it to Haaland.
Mark Flekken (Brentford) £4.5m
Although his chances of a clean sheet against Liverpool and Manchester City look slim, the Brentford goalkeeper can still enjoy a successful DGW25. Flekken has made 17 saves in his last two appearances – including 12 stops against Man City as recently as Gameweek 23 – to earn five points from saves alone.
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) £6.4m
The centre-back offers managers a rotation-free route into the Liverpool defence against Brentford and Luton. Van Dijk boasts a major threat at set-pieces for the Reds and has produced 23 shots in the box, more than any other defender in 2023/24 Fantasy.
Gabriel (Arsenal) £5.1m
Arsenal‘s Brazilian visits Burnley on the back of three double-figure hauls in the last seven Gameweeks. Gabriel has combined three goals and an assist with two clean sheets to deliver 42 points across that period.
Alfie Doughty (Luton) £4.6m
The Luton wing-back has the attacking potential to offer big value against Manchester United and Liverpool. Doughty has produced one goal and six assists in his last nine outings, while his total of 47 key passes this season ranks top for the Hatters and third among defenders.
Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) £10.8m
Despite being used as a substitute in two of the last four Gameweeks, Man City’s playmaker has delivered attacking returns in all four matches. De Bruyne could prove a strong alternative for the captaincy at home to both Chelsea and Brentford in DGW25.
Diogo Jota (Liverpool) £8.3m
With doubts still remaining over the fitness and pitch time of Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Jota has climbed to over 20 per ownership in Fantasy, which makes him the most-popular Liverpool player for DGW25.
Phil Foden (Man City) £8.0m
The England star is Man City’s top-scoring player in home matches this term, earning 70 points at Etihad Stadium thanks to three goals and six assists. Foden’s hat-trick away to Brentford in Gameweek 23 helped him to his career-high haul of 20 points.
Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) £6.1m
His record at St James’ Park this season makes the Newcastle United winger a standout pick among players with just a single fixture in DGW25. Gordon entertains AFC Bournemouth as the third top-scoring player in home matches in 2023/24, producing six goals, six assists and 80 points.
Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.4m
The Norwegian’s two goals against Everton last weekend have taken his ownership to over 70 per cent for DGW25.
Ivan Toney (Brentford) £8.2m
Brentford’s talisman has scored three goals and supplied an assist to collect a team-leading 26 points in his four matches since returning from suspension. Toney’s total of six big chances in that period are more than any other player in Fantasy.
Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) £7.6m
Liverpool’s Uruguayan has blanked just once in his last six appearances, scoring four goals and supplying two assists. Nunez’s 20 shots, 14 shots in the box, five big chances and 10 shots on target are all team-leading totals in the Reds’ four matches in the absence of Salah.
